MOON & MUSE
musings from the mystery
I love creating the conditions where something unexpected can emerge.
Something that couldn’t have emerged alone.
In a way, that’s how my latest creative-child MOON & MUSE came into being.
One of my deepest joys is gathering people together and creating spaces where ritual, relationship, psychology, imagination, and the wisdom of the Earth weave together, containers where this emergence can occur.
As I’ve been sitting with what this emergent property is beneath all the ideas, that consciousness doesn’t emerge in isolation. It emerges in relationship.
Lately I’ve been wondering if the same is true of Creativity.
maybe Creativity doesn’t come from trying harder. Maybe It emerges through our participation with one another, with Nature, with our Bodies, and with Mystery itself.
perhaps the Muse isn’t inspiration that randomly arrives. Perhaps She is what emerges when we become present enough to enter into relationship with Life. Through attention. Through attunement. Through participation.
That feels like the heart of MOON & MUSE.
Not another workshop or a place to become better, but a practice of becoming more alive. More intimate with ourselves, one another, and the living world.
We’re not trying to teach people what to think. We’re creating the conditions where something can emerge that couldn’t have emerged alone.
The more I sit with it, the more I think that’s what Ceremony has always been for me. Not escaping reality or becoming someone else, but learning how to enter into a deeper
relationship with Life.
